More than 85% of people asked in a survey in Oldham at the start of 2010 said they did want to save more money this year.
This survey shows that people are interested in saving money but often don't know where to start! There are so many aspects to saving money from calculating how much you could save on your energy bills if you switched supplier to more mundane methods like saving the loose change from your purse or wallet and saving that up and putting it back in the bank.
As more local banks have shut there's less opportunity for people to make a trip to the bank so it is more of a chore. Any steps that can be taken to encourage people to save should be welcomed. This means encouraging the use of piggy banks and coin sorting machines to enable people to save at home and then quickly sort through the huge amount of change that gathers. It's estimated that there's 6,500 million 1p pieces that are lost from general circulating - and are gathering dust in bottles and piggy banks around the UK.
It's well worth you looking to see how many you've got and get them sorted out and deposited at the bank! A coin sorter can be just the incentive you need to sort out those copper coins and get them back in the bank! Saving money is easy - you might already have a few pounds worth of 1ps and 2 pence pieces around the home already. By saving your loose change and sorting it out you will find you can easily save a few pounds each month which over the year can really start to add up!
People are often put off from saving and taking money to the bank by the effort, so if that's the case buy one of these and get a load of those plastic change bags from the bank - and encourage your whole family to total up the loose change they have about the house! A coin sorter can make this an easy and simpler task, making it more likely to get done!
If you think a coin sorter would encourage you to save more then it's a good investment - visit http://www.voucherfreebies.co.uk/2010/01/02/coin-sorter/ to find out more
