Do you think that it is really worth the price you pay for these bags or is it more for status?
Well, obviously it is for status, but most people I know buy it for the quality. They last a LONG time. I bought my first coach purse 3 years ago, and it's still pretty perfect, there aren't any flaws, etc. Sometimes, the patent leather bags crack a little, but if they do, you can always go back to the store and return it or exchange for store credit. I don't know if any other stores do this, but it's why I love Coach

Handbags, cheap or expensive, will last long if you take good care of them. A person that just throws their purse around will ruin the most expensive purse in a few months.
It’s usually a quality thing though a lot of people do buy it with just status in mind. The more expensive purses are usually a bit better made than the cheap ones. The leather (if it’s leather) will be a better quality leather. But, like I said, someone careless will ruin it in a few months anyways.
My personal opinion. I think it depends. There are expensive purses worth it, and ones that aren’t worth it. You have to have an eye for well made purses and ones that aren’t when buying. Sometimes, the expensive purse isn’t worth it. Or, if it’s an issue of vanity and image which I must admit has been an issue for me before, I avoid ever buying louis vuitton, coach, or gucci purses just because there are so many fakes out there and people won’t even be able to tell the difference. (Truthfully, if you were well dresses and you wore a fake purse, no one would know. If you wear a real purse but dress sloppy, people will think that it’s fake. It’s more of an image thing when carrying those purses.)

They will absolutely last longer then knock off versions of designer handbags, but other then that possibly not. Try Fossil bags or ones from Urban Outfitters. The one thing that designer handbags do offer is if they do start to break or damage they will fix it or replace it because that is a quality issue and they pride themselves on their quality. Just always hold onto your receipt!

To say the truth it is human nature to get bored with anything on the world after a time period. The time can be from seconds to hours to month or years.. it depends!
But being a lady I feel that we all get bored with a single handbag and keep changing them with time and ocassion- isn’t it?
So why not have cheaper handbags in large collection so that we would not be bored with them.
I always buy handbags once in every month and hence have a good collection. At the same time they are not damaged as they are not continuously used up. You can choose from sale sites like http://greathandbagsale.com/ from where I usually shop.

In my experience they last a bit longer but not usually a lot longer. You can take care of them or not but with a lot of use brings normal daily abuse. Save yourself a bit of money on your next purchase.
