Does Fake Designer Gear Make You Mad!?

What are your view on fake designer gear?!
Just interested! I am a mix and match girl- I match designer gear with high street fashion.
My top items of pride include my Dolce and Gabbanna stillettos, my Chanel sunglasses, my little DKNY criss cross bag and my matching Karen Millen shoes and handbag! Of course I paid alot of money for these as I don't buy fakes and never would but I match them with my high street things too.

Obviously I am quite proud of my designer items as I worked hard for the money and felt I deserved to treat myself! I have nothing against people who buy fake designer but just wondered what your views were out of interest!! xx
NB- To the person that called me a snob :p I didn't mean to offend anyone who buys fake items I don't have anything against them it was just a generally question to ask peoples views!
And just to stress the point again I work very hard to earn my money to buy the designer items I have and pay for it all myself as most people who buy designer do!!
Final note! I also go by the theory that if you can't afford it don't buy it! Which is why I think fake designer stuff really contradicts this theory in a sense!
A couple of years ago I got into trouble (nothing serious in comparison to some statistically financial problems) but I maxed out a couple of credit cards before I earned my salary now (which is at least 4 times more) and was devastated as the interest they charge is ludicrous and it took me a while (on my previous salary) to pay them back off. Now I don't own any credit cards and simply pay by debit or cash! Although it's nice to have them (and a good idea for people who have them and pay them off as it really boosts your credit rating a hell of a lot) I simply prefer life without them so just with the theory of if you can't afford it don't buy it I thought the fake designer subject accompained it quite nicely.I.e. if you can't buy the real thing why not stick within your budget and if you put the real thing down why copy it

God, yeah! I'm the same as you i match designer items with high street stuff. I hate it when you see people wearing fake prada, chanel, dolce and gabbanna, d&g, Dior etc. especially in bags and purses, sunglasses etc. They look horrible and everyone in the know, can tell they are fake.

Super Late Christmas Haul (as requested) !!!

All designer gear makes me mad mainly becasue it is a waste of money (of which I have very little). Don’t moan about fake stuff, if people can afford to wast loads of cash on a crap top thenlet them, most can’t so buy fake stuff.

I guess I would be if I inadvertently bought a fake designer item but in general, I’m not that fussed.

I’m not really into paying hundreds of pounds to advertise for the designers who are raking it in hand over fist.

That’s just me though, I guess.

I don’t think it’s right! But then i disagree with pirate DVDs, CDs etc. My son loves his designer clothes and shoes and works hard to buy the genuine articles. He would never consider fake designer stuff nor would i!

I wouldn’t know it if I saw it. Look, EVERYTHING manufactured is designed by someone, whether or not you know their name. You’ve been conned into believing that something with a famous name on it which costs a months rent, is better than the identical item (both made in China, perhaps in the same factory) with no name or an unknown name.

You might as well go round with a big badge on saying "You can sell me any old cr*p, because I have more money than sense"

Of course it’s nice to have the genuine stuff but if they don’t have the money, then they can buy fakes and tbh, why should you be bothered by it?

It is more usual that the lower your income the more "designer" gear you buy. They are after all, mass produced! So if you want to look cheap(chav) the wear "designer. I was once talking to someone, who was in the manufacturing and selling of hiking clothes. I questioned the price of their gear. The answer I got was that they couldn’t sell them cheap as no one would buy them. There is a perception that the more you pay, the better they are.

Tesco’s was stopped from buying levi’s in the US and undercutting the British price! So called grey imports.
