Hey guys/gals!
I am trying to buy my girlfriend of 3 years a gift certificate to a brand name handbag retailer but am not sure as to where.
My girlfriend is 18 years old. She wants a bag that is big and has a lot of pockets. Leather, designer not knockoff.
I was originally into the idea of purchasing her a bag myself, but being a guy, i have no idea what's "hot" or what specific one she'd like, so i have decided i will get her a $250 gift-card to a handbag retailer, just don't know which one.
My budget is $250, which i think is more than enough for an 18yr old's purse, so i need a name that sells handbags for less than $250- she's absolutely broke and prolly wouldn't be able to pay the difference... lol so i want this to cover it and then some.
I know names like Coach and Gucci, but after hearing my situation, what's your top pick? I'd rather stay away from places like TJmax, Kohls or Target.... i want a name of a store specific to things like handbags or shoes and what not... When she opens it, i want her to know it's meant for a purse and not towels... lol
So any help is much appreciated!

Depending on your girlfriend's personality, she might like a Betsey Johnson bag. Betsey Johnson bags are a little out there but are really nice. Another one is Juicy Couture. Ask her what designers she likes, or ask a friend to ask.

I don’t have a clue when it comes to designer hand bags, but I just thought I’d tell you that you’re really sweet for doing something like that! I’m sure she’ll be excited no matter what retailer you get it for! =D

Im not really a coach fan seriously bcuz too many people have coach bags and i dont want your girlfriend finding some other girl having the same bag as her. srsly. ive been there lol. Id think anything thats unique would mean alot to her.

im not sure where you live but what i would do is take her on a shopping trip to the states or toronto. im not sure of any specific names of stores but queen street in toronto has alot of stores

i would have to say, macys has designer pocketbooks. i bought my mom a dooney and bourke purse from there and it was only $175.00. i thought that was a pretty good deal!!! dooney and bourke is a nice brand too!

My ideas would be to find out her favorite designers and learn her preferences (you know: what she does and doesn’t) and try looking for that through her favorite designers. Personally, for a fact I know girls much rather have their boyfriends buy their bags for them… Prefered you brands you can look at: Coach, Juicy Coture, Dooney & Bourke, Ed Hardy, Louis Vuitton, and etc. I’ll list the links below…
